Since nearly two decades Kohlhoff is specialized in high performance deck equipment.

As a distributor for well-known brands like Ronstan, Tylaska, Karver, TuffLuff, Schaefer, Gottifredi Maffioli and Kiwi Battens Kohlhoff has a large stock on hand which grants a prompt delivery. Furthermore Kohlhoff is distributor for Jefa steering and rudder systems which can be found on several production boats as well as on many one off designs. Within the past few years Kohlhoff focused more and more on modern rigging solutions.

Kohlhoff began with the distribution of Frederiksen (now Ronstan) batten systems, later Tylaska shackles, TuffLuff head foils, Karver blocks and furling systems, and Holmatro rigging hydraulics have been added.

Since starting with the distribution of Gottifredi Maffioli ropes Kohlhoff was not limited to hardware anymore. Selling high tech ropes opened a bigger market and led to the development of an own brand, called Kohlhoff Loop Products. This series of compact and lightweight products is based on a loop. After three years in the market this brand can be considered as very successful, and it fits perfect to Kohlhoff's high tech splice work. Selling custom made sheets, halyards, aft guys, control lines, etc using materials from simple Polyester to Dyneema® SK78 core with PBO cover is a rapidly increasing part of Kohlhoff's turnover.

Kohlhoff is usually exhibiting on several boat shows per year: METS Amsterdam in November, and Düsseldorf in January.

Kohlhoff's company is located in Altenholz nearby Kiel, Germany, approx. 3 kilometres away from Kiel-Schilksee.
